The so-called Hawk Fire broke out around 3 p.m. in the 35900 block of North Tremar Drive. The fire has burned approximately 300 acres and is 67% contained, according to Cal Fire. On Thursday night, the LACoFD announced that they had stopped the Hawk Fire's forward progress.

The Hawk fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. in the 35900 block of North Trenmar Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The flames spread through medium brush. By Friday morning, firefighters had 42% containment of the blaze.

Firefighters are battling a fast-moving wildfire threatening structures near the community of Acton that that has grown to nearly 300 acres and prompted evacuation orders and warnings, authorities confirmed.
