NASCAR handed down a one-race suspension for Austin Hill after he right-rear hooked Aric Almirola in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Indianapolis. With the suspension, he also lost all of his playoff points.

Austin Hill got a one-race suspension for wrecking Aric Almirola, and Almirola says the hit was one of the biggest of his entire NASCAR career.

NASCAR on Tuesday suspended Austin Hill for one Xfinity Series race for intentionally crashing Aric Almirola at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Richard Childress Racing said Cup Series driver Austin Dillon will replace Hill in the Xfinity Series race at Iowa this weekend.
