He called Bennett's performance "commanding," which was one of the more positive one-word evaluations of the quarterbacks who played in Week 1. It helps, too, that Rams head coach Sean McVay offered words of praise for Bennett as well.

When the Los Angeles Rams drafted quarterback Stetson Bennett out of Georgia, the idea was that he could be the long-term backup quarterback. In other words, he could be a ‘set it and forget it’ type of player at the position.

Stetson Bennett kicked off 2025 with a great start. The former 2023 fourth-round pick out of Georgia led five scoring drives for the Rams, including two fourth-quarter touchdown passes. Bennett finished the game with 188 passing yards for two passing touchdowns on 16-of-24 attempts in the 31-21 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
