A third child has died as a result of Monday’s barge-sailboat collision in Biscayne Bay, the Miami Yacht Club and U.S. Coast Guard announced Sunday.

A third child has died as a result of the crash that happened around 11 a.m. Monday off Miami Beach’s Hibiscus Island in Biscayne Bay when a youth sailing camp boat and a barge collided in the water. The sail boat was part of the Miami Yacht Club’s sailing camp and was carrying a 19-year-old instructor and five campers.

Calena Areyan Gruber, 7, was rushed to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital after the crash last week.

CBS News Miami previously reported that Mila Yankelevich and Erin Ko (pictured on right) died in the crash. They were with Buchman (pictured on left), two other girls and a teen counselor on a sailboat as part of Miami Yacht Club's summer sailing camp when the crash happened.

Miami’s sailing community is “shattered by grief” after a third child died Sunday, six days after a sailboat and barge collision in Biscayne Bay, the Miami Yacht Club said.

Six people, including a camp counselor, aboard a sailboat were thrown into the water after the collision on Monday, the authorities said.
