At least three people were killed and 19 others were wounded in weekend shootings across Chicago, according to police. The ages of the victims range from 17 to 53. In the first shooting of the weekend, a 36-year-old man was near the street around 6:48 in the 700 block of South Springfield Avenue when he was shot multiple times in the body.

CHICAGO - Police are looking for the car that hit a 7-year-old child on the city’s South Side on July 4 and drove off. The crash happened a little before 9 p.m. in the 800 block of E. Marquette Road in the Woodlawn neighborhood, according to the Chicago Police Department.
