The Senate narrowly approved President Donald Trump's signature second-term policy bill, a nearly 900-page package packed with tax cuts and other campaign promises, in a major legislative victory for the president that came after a tense debate within his party that stretched on for nearly four days.

Overall, the Senate version includes roughly $4 trillion in tax cuts, new funding for border security and fulfills some of Trump’s campaign pledges such as no taxes on tips and overtime.

To win over holdouts, the final bill doubled the size of a fund meant to help rural hospitals hurt by Medicaid cuts and struck an excise tax on wind and solar projects.
