The city of East Lansing was again placed on a federal list of identified sanctuary cities, which was republished Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Justice after it retracted the initial list months ago.

In Michigan, Kalamazoo, Kent, Oakland, Washtenaw, Wayne and Wexford counties, as well as the cities of Ann Arbor and East Lansing, were all initially listed on the DHS website as being "sanctuary jurisdictions."
