The account of the 3-year-old Sesame Street character turned hateful and certainly not suitable for kids. Here's what the hacked account said.

The beloved children's character Elmo fell victim to hackers who posted antisemitic and hateful messages on his official X account.

Many X users insisted that the account should address the incident, and seemed to treat Elmo as if he were a real person instead of a fictional TV character. Many of the accounts that expressed anger at Elmo mentioned Israel or included emojis of Israeli flags.
