Popular celebrity chef Bobby Flay confirmed on his social media last week that “Holiday Throwdown,” the festive spin-off of “Beat Bobby Flay,” will return for its fourth season later this year.

Chef, Food Network star and TV host Anne Burrell died by acute intoxication and suicide, the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner confirmed to ABC News.

Friends of Burrell acknowledge the spiky haired chef partied hard, but feel she may have made a spur-of the moment decision while inebriated which she’d never make otherwise, leading to her death.

The Food Network is facing criticism online following its recent social media post featuring late chef Anne Burrell. Newsweek contacted a Food Network spokesperson via email for comment on Tuesday.

Fans of the late chef flocked to Food Network’s post, criticizing it as “tone deaf.” “Another tone deaf post and still no tribute like she deserves. It’s obvious you haven’t listened to any of the thousands of posts from her fans. Very disappointing,” user @chlibby_823 wrote.
