About 1,000 unionized Gucci employees are threatening to strike over unpaid welfare bonuses promised by parent company Kering for 2022-2024. This labor dispute puts Gucci in a pivotal position under its new leadership and adds to the string of labor scandals affecting other major luxury brands like Armani, Loro Piana, Dior, and Valentino.

Employees of the Gucci fashion house in Italy are threatening the company with strike action. Around 1,000 retail and logistics workers across the country have declared a "stato di agitazione," a type of industrial action that can lead to strikes under Italian law.

Trade unions claim that the luxury brand is allegedly refusing to distribute 2025 welfare packages to about 1,000 of its Italian employees.
