HBO Max is giving U.S. subscribers a taste of British television series like Luther and The Office thanks to a short-term digital arrangement with BritBox. The Warner Bros. Discovery streamer and the BBC Studios-owned BritBox have struck a deal to bring 15 BritBox shows to HBO Max in August and September. The "pop-up" - similar to an arrangement between AMC and Netflix in 2024 - will run from Aug. 1-Sept. 29.

HBO Max in the U.S. will feature a sampling of 15 of BritBox series, at no additional cost to HBO Max subscribers, for a two-month promotional period.

HBO Max is adding a sampling of Britbox comedies and dramas as part of a limited-run promotion of the British streaming service.

As reported by Variety, starting today, August 1, until September 29, HBO Max subscribers in the US will have access to 15 carefully curated BritBox titles. There will be no additional cost to view these shows;
