A copyright battle over the viral song “Baby Shark,” adored by young children and often dreaded by their parents, has come to an end with a court clearing the Korean creators of the most popular version of plagiarism.

The decision ends a six-year legal battle over the globally popular tune known for its catchy "doo doo doo doo doo doo" hook.

A court has dismissed a copyright claim by an American composer who accused a South Korean children’s publisher of plagiarism in its version of the catchy children’s song “ Baby Shark ”, which became a worldwide hit.

The judges found “Baby Shark” was based on a nursery rhyme, dismissing the six-year case of U.S. entertainer Johnny Only that centered on his 2011 version.
