Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, who has worked with Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande, detailed what it was like to come out as gay at age 26 to his longtime female partner and two kids.

Appleton and Katon welcomed their second child, Kitty-Blu Appleton, on Nov. 3, 2004. While she has a unique moniker, Kitty-Blu revealed in a TikTok video that her parents almost named her Kimberly.

Appleton recalled how he couldn’t keep his secret inside any longer, but he was still nervous to tell his kids.
