Manchester United are pushing to hijack Newcastle’s move for Benjamin Sesko, with both English clubs locked in a high-stakes transfer battle. The RB Leipzig striker has reportedly told both sides that he is open to joining them,

As it stands, Newcastle are the only side to have made a formal proposal to Leipzig. Sky Sports Germany state Man Utd are ready to match the Magpies’ offer, but only if they receive confirmation from the striker that he wants to move to Old Trafford.

As per Daily Mail, the Magpies are now exploring a move for PSG forward Goncalo Ramos after their initial bid rejection for Sesko. If true, that could leave United in pole position for Sesko — assuming they don’t drop the ball in the final third.
