Nipsey Hussle ’s 40th Birthday To Be Celebrated By LA Metro With Limited Edition TAP Cards
Nipsey Hussle is set to be recognized by the Los Angeles Metro in a major way. The late, hometown hero will be featured on two limited edition TAP cards launching on Aug. 15, which would have been his 40th birthday. Additionally, the Hyde Park Station will be temporarily renamed for the month in his honor.
Metro will release limited-edition TAP cards dedicated to hip hop icon Nipsey Hussle
Metro next week is releasing two limited-edition TAP cards in honor of the late hip-hop icon Nipsey Hussle, who was shot to death in 2019. A limited number of cards will arrive on what would have been Nipsey’s 40th birthday and celebrate his cultural impact and support of public transit.
Metro To Launch Limited Edition Nipsey Hussle TAP Cards
The Nipsey Hussle TAP card is available exclusively at Metro’s six customer care centers, upon enrolling for the LIFE program, as well as at the following stations: Hyde Park Station (K Line); Crenshaw Station (C Line); Slauson Station (J Line); Compton Station (A Line); Hollywood/Vine Station (B Line); Expo/Crenshaw Station (E Line).
