A woman was saved from the roof of her burning home in Somerset County, New Jersey after saving everyone else in the home.

NORTH PLAINFIELD – Borough first responders rescued a 27-year-old woman from a fire at her Richard Way home early July 11. Police responded around 1:25 a.m. where they reported the residence engulfed in flames with several residents on the front lawn and were told that one female resident was still inside, on the roof, authorities said.

Firefighters rescued a woman on the roof of a burning home in North Plainfield early Friday morning. At around 1:25 a.m., North Plainfield Police were called to a structure fire at 489 Richard Way in North Plainfield.
