Drone attacks in the early hours of Thursday triggered a fire at the independent Afipsky refinery in southern Russia, according to regional emergency services.

Ryazan oil refinery, operated by the Rosneft oil company, has halted around half its refining capacity since August 2 following a Ukrainian drone attack last week, three industry sources said.

Two of Rosneft’s largest oil refineries have been knocked offline following Ukrainian drone strikes last week, sidelining key infrastructure for at least a month and forcing Russia to ramp up crude exports through its western ports.
