The U.K. government has proscribed the network as a terrorist group, a decision fiercely contested by the group itself.

Hundreds could join a rally in support of proscribed group Palestine Action in London, in a major headache for police.

Two women and a man have been charged with showing support for proscribed terrorist group Palestine Action following a protest in central London. Jeremy Shippam, 71, of West Sussex, Judit Murray, 71, of Surrey, and Fiona Maclean, 53, of Hackney are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 16 September, the Metropolitan Police said.

Amnesty International UK has urged the Metropolitan Police against mass arresting peaceful demonstrators expressing support for the recently banned group, Palestine Action, ahead of a major protest planned in London on Saturday. The protest organized by the activist group, Defend Our Juries, is expected to draw hundreds.

Supporting Palestine Action is a criminal offence, with membership or expressing support for the group punishable by up to 14 years in prison. The charges - the first in England and Wales - come before a planned protest in support of the group on Saturday afternoon in London's Parliament Square,

British police on Thursday said they had charged the first three people in England and Wales with supporting activist group Palestine Action since it was banned under anti-terrorism laws.

More than 500 people are expected to gather outside Parliament at 1pm tomorrow, while protests are also planned outside migrant hotels.
