August 8 - The Texas Rangers activated first baseman Jake Burger from the 10-day injured list Friday. Burger has missed 20 games since being placed on the injury list on July 13 with a left quadriceps injury he sustained two days earlier while running out a grounder during the top of the fifth inning in a 7-3 win over the Houston Astros.

The Texas Rangers are one step closer to a completely healthy lineup. The Rangers activated first baseman Jake Burger from the 10-day injured list prior to Friday’s series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies at Globe Life Field.
