A Ukrainian drone barrage that killed at least four people during weekend strikes deep inside Russia has intensified concerns over Moscow’s ability to defend its own territory. Analysts commented that the strikes exposed “Russia’s vulnerability at home” and demonstrated Ukraine’s growing ability to hit strategic targets far from the battlefield.

The three-day exercise will involve 64,000 troops and focus on the “preparation and use of nuclear forces under the threat of aggression.”
