The summer shutdown, implemented by Formula 1's governing body the FIA, is a mandatory 14-day consecutive period where all competitors and their staff are prohibited from working.

The next race on the 2025 F1 schedule is the Dutch Grand Prix, slated for August 31, 2025. Until then the sport will be on an extended break, mandated by the rules.

However, teams are allowed to support other projects that are not connected to F1. In addition, they are also allowed to work on heavily damaged cars that were damaged in the race
