Texas lawmakers appear to have turned a new leaf on a previously failed effort to ban THC, with the Texas House now introducing legislation identical to a Senate proposal cracking down on THC in the state.

Texas lawmakers are again pushing legislation to ban most consumable THC products, despite a previous veto by Governor Abbott and strong opposition from advocates who say it will harm those using them for medical reasons.

Just weeks after the governor vetoed a bill banning products containing THC, state senators revived it in the special session, filing nearly identical legislation and passing it unanimously out of committee with a 10-0 vote on Tuesday.
