Thomas Frank enjoyed an encouraging start to life in charge of Tottenham with a win over Reading in a friendly on Saturday, but three players missed out. New arrival Luka Vuskovic and Will Lankshear scored the goals in a 2-0 win for Spurs, while summer signing Mohammed Kudus played the second half.

Tottenham centre-back Luka Vuskovic hailed his “perfect” start to life under Thomas Frank as Spurs saw off Reading 2-0 to begin their pre-season. The 18-year-old Croatian signed for Spurs from Hajduk Split back in 2023 but has since spent loan spells in Poland and Belgium before making his first appearance for the north Londoners on Saturday.
