Justice Department indicts Sinaloa Cartel affiliates for laundering over $50 million through L.A. and Chinese banking systems.

The DoJ touted the close co-operation with Mexican and Chinese law enforcement - a message that has been echoed on the Chinese side. The US accuses the Sinaloa cartel of helping to fuel a deadly epidemic by flooding the country with fentanyl,

The U.S. Justice Department alleged on Tuesday that Mexico's Sinaloa Cartel conspired with groups based in California and tied to Chinese underground banking to launder drug-trafficking proceeds of over $50 million.

A syndicate operating in Los Angeles and China is accused of helping transfer over US$50 million in drug profits from the US to Mexico.
