An American tourist died, and another was injured, after an electrical malfunction in a hot tub at a Rocky Point resort Tuesday, Sonora state officials said.

Resort guests in Mexico are heard screaming after witnessing a Texas couple get electrocuted in a hot tub. The husband was pronounced dead on the scene and his wife was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened on June 11 at a complex of private condominiums in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, authorities confirmed

According to CBS affiliate KDBC, the couple has been identified as Jorge Guillen and Lizette Zambrano of El Paso.
