U.S. Senator Ted Cruz has come to actress Sydney Sweeney's defense amid controversy surrounding her new American Eagle campaign, which some critics have labeled tone-deaf and racially insensitive.  Cruz responded in a X post Tuesday to a New York Post story about the controversial advertising campaign.
