Dozens of Bedouin women are on a hunger strike to call for Israeli authorities to release the body of a beloved community leader killed during a clash with a Jewish settler in the Israeli-occupied West Bank last week.

Mourners attended on Thursday the funeral of Palestinian activist Awdah Hathaleen in the occupied West Bank whose body was handed over by Israel more than a week after a settler killed him.

Palestinians in West Bank are unable to mourn 31-year-old Awdah, while the Israeli settler who shot him walks free.
