The Colorado State Patrol Aircraft Unit was conducting traffic operations in the Denver metro area on Thursday night. The trooper aircraft unit said about 9:15 p.m. that multiple commercial airplane pilots reported a green laser being directed into the cockpits of their aircraft.

The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) arrested a man Thursday night for allegedly targeting multiple aircraft with a laser.

Colorado State Patrol said they arrested the suspect near East 64th Avenue and Monaco Street in Commerce City.

Colorado State Patrol troopers arrested a man in Commerce City around 9 p.m. Thursday night after he allegedly pointed a green laser at multiple commercial airplanes flying near Denver International Airport. “Our aircraft unit overheard several pilots reporting the laser being directed into their cockpits,” said State Patrol Trooper Sherri Mendez.
