Dick’s Sporting Goods is launching a production banner called Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios, which will make its official debut on an ESPN documentary titled “Big Dreams: The Little League World Series 2024.

U.S. sporting equipment and apparel retailer Dick’s Sporting Goods has officially launched its content and production studio Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios ahead of the premiere on ESPN next week of its latest production Big Dreams: The Little League World Series 2024.

Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios derives its name from the origins of the DICK's brand itself. Dick Stack, founder of the sporting goods chain, started with a $300 loan from his grandmother in the 1940s when he was only 18. This loan came from Stack's grandmother's savings, stored safely in her cookie jar.

Today, DICK'S Sporting Goods (NYSE: DKS) announced the official launch of Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios, a new in-house content and production studio dedicated to telling powerful, human-centered stories through the lens of sport.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is launching a new content and production studio, Cookie Jar & A Dream, to connect more closely with customers through an unscripted sports-themed series. The studio will follow the retailer, Hollywood production partners, and filmmakers as they tell stories through the lens of sport, starting in 2014.

The content and production studio plans to produce unscripted sports-related content and builds on previous sports content Dick’s has been involved in producing.

Opening the doors on Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios will get the retailer beyond studio partners to making original sports-themed series in-house.
