Gabriel House owner Dennis Etzkorn released a statement on Wednesday, saying that “all records related to the building’s safety, including documentation of regular inspections of the sprinkler system," has been turned over to the proper authorities. Etzkorn says the most recent sprinkler inspection reported the system to be in working order.

The lawsuit filed in Bristol Superior Court Monday is at least the third filed against Gabriel House owner and manager Dennis D. Etzkorn and Fire Systems Inc., the company that installed and maintained life safety systems.

The owner of the Gabriel House assisted living facility responded to the latest lawsuit from a former resident that alleged bodily injury and property damage after the fire at the location on July 13.
