The Houston Rockets are waiving center Jock Landale ahead of his July 7 guarantee date, sources tell ESPN. Landale is expected to sign with his preferred destination upon clearing waivers. With the addition of Clint Capella on the roster Houston now has three center on the roster.

Landale signed a four-year $32 million deal with the Rockets back in 2023 but only the first season on the lengthy pact was unguaranteed. He finishes his stint in Houston with just two years and was clearly not a part of the Rockets’ plans this offseason when they re-signed Steven Adams and agreed to sign Clint Capela to back up Alperen Sengun.
