Facing pressure from payment processors, the indie game platform delisted many adult titles this week. Itch.io began offering free NSFW content again on Thursday as it looks for new payment options.

Itch.io, the indie gaming store that recently pulled all NSFW games from its site, is beginning the process of “re-indexing” adult games. At the moment, this is only affecting free games, and the site is still in discussions with payment providers over how it can return paid-for NSFW games without facing penalization.

The indie game marketplace Itch.io decided to shadowban NSFW content last week to the chagrin of fans, and this week they're restoring the free ones.

They’re still working on a permanent payment solution.

Digital storefront Itch.io is reindexing its free adult games, and is talking to its partnered payment processors about plans to gradually reintroduce paid NSFW content. In a new Developer Update, the company said the decision will ensure it can "confidently support the widest range of creators in the long term.
