Back in April 2024, Audible announced it would be bringing the beloved “Harry Potter” series to life in a whole new way — not just as audiobooks, but as full-cast productions. On Tuesday, Pottermore Publishing and Audible Inc.

The Harry Potter books are are being turned into an audiobook series! JK Rowling‘s hit book series will be coming out with a new audio version on the popular audiobook app Audible, and the cast has been revealed for the first installment.

"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" debuts Nov. 4, with each of the remaining six audiobooks releasing monthly.

And as you might expect, it's absolutely stacked, with such talents as Hugh Laurie ( House ), Michelle Gomez ( Chilling Adventures of Sabrina ), Riz Ahmed ( Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ), and Matthew Macfadyen ( Deadpool & Wolverine) joining the magical project.

The first round of cast announcements includes Hugh Laurie as Dumbleore, who is now set to play a new version of the Hogwarts Headmaster before John Lithgow stars in the upcoming TV series. The first audiobook in the new series is set to arrive on November 4,
