Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers is not believed to have suffered a serious injury after limping off with an ankle problem during Wednesday’s 4-0 pre-season victory over AS Roma, according to

Aston Villa were handed an injury scare just 10 days before the start of the new season when Morgan Rogers was forced off against AS Roma. Villa recorded their sixth win of the summer with a 4-0 victory at the Bescot Stadium, but Rogers’ departure just minutes after being introduced at half-time cast a shadow over the night.

Rogers, who was introduced at half time of the pre-season friendly, was forced to go off just four minutes later after falling awkwardly and being replaced by young academy player, Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba. The England international required treatment, with the club’s medical team testing out his left ankle.
