The older brother of Oasis founders Liam and Noel Gallagher has been charged with rape, three counts of sexual assault and other violent offenses, police in Britain confirm to Rolling Stone.

Gallagher, 59, has been charged with rape, coercive and controlling behaviour, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, two counts of making a threat to kill and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The 59-year-old is also facing other charges including three counts of sexual assault and three counts of intentional strangulation, the Metropolitan Police said.
