Players' Weekend allows player to don and use custom gear reflecting three themes: off-field interests, causes and appreciation.

The league originally started Players' Weekend in 2017. It ran the event for three straight seasons before putting it on a hiatus. The celebration returned during the 2024 MLB season, albeit with modified rules. The event is back in 2025 and will mimic the 2024 celebration.

Other players decided to pay homage to movies and video games with their Players' Weekend designs. Boston Red Sox third baseman Marcelo Mayer is using a Lightning McQueen-themed bat this weekend, while Harrison Bader of the Philadelphia Phillies gave a nod to "Fortnite" with his chug jug bat.

Players' Weekend showcases the personality around the league with nicknames on jerseys and special designs allowed for cleats, bats and gloves.
