Tijjani Reijnders grabbed a brace and Erling Haaland scored as Manchester City finished their pre-season with victory over Palermo in Italy. The Dutch midfielder put in an impressive display as a half-time substitute, hitting two goals and almost grabbing a hat-trick towards the end of the match.

Jack Grealish has reportedly approved a summer move away from Manchester City after being exiled by Pep Guardiola. Guardiola sanctioned Man City’s record-breaking £100m move for Grealish back in 2021 and viewed the England star as an integral member of his squad during his first two seasons at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City must wait before they know if Phil Foden will be available for their first Premier League game of the season. The 25-year-old missed the Palermo trip with an ankle injury and while it is not thought to be a big problem it may yet rule him out for another week.
