BANGKOK, July 14 (Reuters) - Thailand is considering offering zero tariffs on more U.S. imports, the finance minister said on Monday. The government is also preparing 200 billion baht ($6.1 billion) worth of soft loans to ease the impact of tariffs, Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira told a business seminar.

Thailand is weighing allowing zero-duty market access for more US goods to help persuade the Trump administration to lower a threatened 36% tariff on its exports.

Pichai Chunhavajira, Thailand’s Minister of Finance, disclosed that his country was considering removing tariffs on more goods imported from the United States.
