In an emotional post on social media, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson reminisced about his famous bout with Hulk Hogan, who died this week at the age of 71.

WWE paid tribute to Hulk Hogan on this week's episode of "SmackDown." Hogan, who passed away at age 71 on Thursday, was honored during the broadcast with an opening segment featuring a large number of WWE stars and personnel standing at the top of the "SmackDown" entrance ramp.

The wrestling world lost arguably its most iconic figure on Thursday with the passing of Hulk Hogan who died at 71. Hogan reportedly suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida and was pronounced dead at the hospital with "no signs of foul play or suspicious activity.

Among the first to react to the news was WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, who posted on X, "I am absolutely shocked to hear about the passing of my close friend @HulkHogan! Hulk has been by my side since we started in the wrestling business.
