With Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick as executive producers and Cobra Kai scribe Michael Jonathan Smith as showrunner, the adaptation skewed more toward comedy than crazy action or horror (of which the games have plenty).

The episode description for Twisted Metal season 2, episode 5, “ONURMRK” promised John Doe and Quiet battling in the qualifier round. It was supposed to be the first tournament episode, but the episode only contains five minutes of the tournament.

The first season of Twisted Metal was almost like a prologue. Peacock’s adaptation of the long-dormant PlayStation game series spent 10 episodes setting up its car-focused post-apocalyptic world and most of the major characters,

Personally, I think Joe should handle Sweet Tooth’s speaking parts in addition to the physical acting we see him do on Twisted Metal. But he and Will Arnett, who does the talking in the role, obviously coordinate things well and its a great performance all around.
