GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Officials have detected the West Nile Virus in Garfield County. Certain mosquito species found in the county — especially in the western portion near Parachute, Battlement Mesa, Silt, and Rifle — can carry and transmit the virus.
