President Donald Trump on Tuesday established a task force on the 2028 Olympic Games being held in Los Angeles that he said would ensure the event is “safe, seamless and historically successful.”

In March, the President signed an executive order establishing a similar White House task force for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States. The group, chaired by President Trump, coordinates with federal agencies in preparation for the international soccer event, which includes games in Los Angeles.
