MARTA will halt Atlanta Streetcar service starting Sept. 8 for at least three months due to Georgia Power infrastructure work.

During the service interruption, MARTA shuttle vans wrapped to look like streetcars will provide service along the same route.

ATLANTA, Ga. — MARTA officials announced they plan to suspend streetcar service later this year. This will begin on Sept. 8 so crews can complete vital underground utility repairs by Georgia Power. This will align with scheduled infrastructure upgrades. The service suspension is expected to last around three to four months.
