Nico Rosberg insisted Lewis Hamilton would not have made the same mistakes that Lando Norris did as the McLaren driver missed out on victory at the Belgian Grand Prix. Pole-sitter Norris, after a delayed start due to heavy rain, lost the lead on the first racing lap of Sunday’s race to teammate and championship rival Oscar Piastri.

The biggest surprise arguably came in Q1 when Lewis Hamilton was knocked out of qualifying, the stewards deleting his lap time due to a track limit infringement. The Ferrari driver starts 16th in Sunday’s race — his worst qualifying result of the season.
