The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide. It happened late Wednesday night at the Longbranch Mobile Home Community.

Didarul Islam, the slain 36-year-old NYPD officer, was a Bangladeshi immigrant and is survived by his wife, who is eight months pregnant, and two young sons.
