Just over a week ago, before the start of the Canadian Open, it was announced Naomi Osaka split with tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou, ending their 10-month partnership.

Osaka's time with Mouratologou followed an up-and-down sequence of promising signs and frustrations with either injury or close-run defeats.

As per recent developments, Naomi Osaka and Patrick Mourtaglou will no longer be working together. The Japanese ace took to Instagram story to announce the split.

Naomi Osaka has announced that she is splitting up with her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. The 4-time Grand Slam champion started working with Mouratoglou in September 2024, shortly after her second-round exit at the US Open.

Despite the split, Osaka’s message suggests that the decision was amicable and that she holds Mouratoglou in high regard.

Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, has been in a career rut for years. Mouratoglou joined her staff in September of 2024 and there hasn't been much improvement. Osaka has not made it past the third round of a Grand Slam tournament since 2021 when she won the Australian Open. Now she will look for a new coach to help bring her back to form.
