The Pittsfield Police Department states that officers were sent to the Berkshire Bank branch at 66 West Street for a robbery. Due to the officers quick response, a suspect is now in custody and there is no immediate threat to the public.

PITTSFIELD — The Berkshire Bank on West Street was robbed Monday morning, and a man is in custody, according to Pittsfield Police. The robbery occurred around 9 a.m. at the bank's 66 West St. location, Lieutenant John Soules said. No injuries were reported, and police believe the suspect acted alone.
