LOS ANGELES -- The hit Broadway musical "Hamilton" is making its way to the big screen on Sept. 5. Lin-Manuel Miranda announced the theatrical release date for the Tony Award-winning musical Tuesday night during an interview on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

Original cast members including Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Thayne Jasperson, and Lin-Manuel Miranda himself attended the fundraiser benefitting the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition.
