While some reviews hail it the “best show on Netflix,” an extensive press rollout that included a feature in The New York Times and hype around show creator Lena Dunham’s much-talked-about return to television, her new show, “Too Much,” didn’t take off on Netflix during its debut week.

"These two don’t know each other’s families yet," Dunham told The Hollywood Reporter. "They don’t know each other’s friends. They don’t know what the other person is like in a certain kind of conflict. They don’t know how the other person handles the big challenges. They’ve never decorated a home or talked about whether they want children."
