Microsoft is giving the consumer version of its Copilot Assistant a blob-like design with real-time visual expressions.

Designed to give its AI assistant an expressive presence, Microsoft is rolling out a new ‘Copilot Appearance’ feature that allows users to interact with a digital face that reacts with emotion, moves with subtle gestures, and speaks naturally through voice.

Mustafa Suleyman, Microsoft’s AI CEO, has a vision of Copilot that involves it being so highly personalized that “it will age.” Microsoft has been increasingly pushing Copilot to be a personalized AI assistant,
